Presented in-services and competency certification for coworkers. Involved in patient care and staff education for newly developed open-heart program. Past member of code blue committee, acuity committee, and nursing practice committee.
STAFF NURSE, INTENSIVE CARE UNIT: Responsible for assessment of patients' physical and psychosocial responses to illness, implementation of therapeutic treatment modalities, evaluation of treatment effectiveness and coordination of ancillary departments for holistic patient care. Skills include: hemodynamic monitoring, balloon pump/CVVHD management, airway/ventilator management, ventriculostomy management and critical drip administration.
